This past weekend the weather was BEAUTIFUL and we heard about an egg hunt followed by a concert by Phil Wickham so we thought we'd check it out. It had it's ups and downs, haha. It was put on in a new neighborhood here in Frisco and KLTY, Chic fil A and some other local sponsors were there to host it. We got there just in time for the egg hunt which you see a nice picture of...looks like a lot of eggs right? Not enough for all the kids there! Azlyn was able to grab one piece of candy before the other kids ran each other down and attacked the rest of the eggs! She was pretty upset for a while that she walked away with nothing but I assured her the Easter bunny would have LOTS of candy in the eggs that were all for her and Asher next week. Once I lead her towards the petting zoo she was ok and had almost forgotten about this no eggs fiasco! The petting zoo was fabulous and at the end had these cute little chicks with colored feathers...poor things! After the animals we lined up to play on the bounce house slide and were happy to see one of her good friends from school right in front of her and from then on she had a buddy and could have stayed all afternoon. Some of the other activities had run out of supplies for crafts and such so we ran out of things to do while waiting for the concert and ended up leaving before it ever started. It was a fun filled morning already and this mama was ready for a nap!

As a preface, some of you know that in the in between of Troy losing a job and finding another we had to give our new car back so we were down to one car for a week. So of course Sunday morning when we were headed to church realized we had a flat...never fear though...parents to the rescue!! My parents were SO kind to drive their truck to us (and spend some time in the grandkids in the meantime) and help us get that car to the tire place and allow us to borrow the truck for a while. While they were over, they gave Asher a vest for riding his big wheels motorcycle so here are a few pics from that.
It was quite chilly outside but Azlyn really wanted to show Nana her new swimsuit. I didn't even know my mom had taken these pictures until I uploaded them today and I laughed my head off!!
Yes Asher has his own motorcycle but why ride that if you can ride Grampy's!
