Spring break kicked off this past Friday and we headed straight to Louisiana to visit Troy's family. We were about 3 hours on the road when I realized I didn't even pack my camera...who am I?!? So once my brother in law sends me the pics I took from him camera I will post some from this trip. Maw maw and Paw paw were so glad to see the kiddos and had a lot planned for us in our short but eventful weekend. We always start our weekend out with Dad's famous breakfast and Azlyn and Asher love running all over the acre of land out there, playing with Ladie(the neighborhood dog) and chalk drawing all over the front parking area. That evening we had a crawfish boil and got to spend time with lots of other family as we chowed down on this cajun delicacy. Azlyn ate a fine share of crawfish and so did Asher, we just had to peel them and supply the tails. After all that fun we had a bonfire and made smores. I finally had to call off eating the smores for Azlyn but she ok as long as she could make them for everyone else. She mainly enjoyed roasting the marshmallow which consisted of sticking it over the fire and waiting for it to catch aflame...mmmm, yummy:) The next day Maw maw took the kids to pick out their Easter basket and goodies and Azlyn went to town pulling things off of the shelf at the store! Luckily the Easter bunny makes stops early and hid eggs all over the backyard so they kids had fun going on their first egg hunt of the year. They cleaned up on jelly beans and money, Azlyn actually would shake each egg and if it was money she left it for Asher and she she went to find ones with jelly beans...she doesn't quit understand the value of money yet. Needless to say Asher ended up with a great deal more money for his piggy bank! This was a great ending to the weekend and we were sad to say good-bye after such a short trip. We'll see you soon though!
Nana took off Wednesday so we could go to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was half price day and that meant it was INSANELY busy!(Yea, we won't go on that day during Spring break again!) It took a few hours in traffic and a while standing in line to get our tickets but it was worth it because we had a blast!
