My birthday, memorial day and a mini staycation:)

This is a bit out of date now but here is a little blurb about our past few weekends. My birthday was the week before memorial weekend and my parents graciously as they all too often do:)....offered to watch the kids while Troy and I had a fabulous date night. I was given such amazing gifts during teach appreciation week at school that I had saved up some fun gift cards and we have made some great date nights from them! I had told my mom that we were going to go to Cheesecake Factory and she mentioned going down the road to one that was closer to her. We had never been to this little area and now we love it! It felt like we were in another city as we walked outside by shops and sat across from a park in the middle of it all.

The following weekend was Memorial and we went to my mom and dad's house and swam it up with a few friends and family. Azlyn has been taking swim lessons and she is getting so good at swimming without any flotation devices in the pool. She can't swim alone but she loves practicing(which keeps us busy the whole time in the water since we are swimming her around:). I'm so glad because even just a week earlier she was a lot more hesitant to even put her eyes under water, wouldn't get in without a blow up around her and now she is going under and blowing bubbles and trying to swim!

The next weekend we were gifted, by my parents taking the kids for the weekend! We enjoyed 2 days to ourselves, sleeping in a bit and enjoying the pool without running after little ones. We just stayed home, but it was so relaxing and we loved it! Our last hoorah before Adelaide gets here and we don't get weekends away for a while!

Birthday date night

Outside on a HOT afternoon watching the kids ride around a parking lot. Troy is extra hot b/c he rode his bike over there and met us. This guy is getting in shape!! He has finished 30 days of P90X and is getting ripped!!
Azlyn taking a ride around, there is a big hill and she started to roll down it and freaked out! We then kept her riding around on level ground at the bottom of the lot and she eventually was brave enough to trek back up the hill.

Asher and his motorcycle, I love this helmet on him while he rides around haha!!
She's getting brave!

The Watermelon has been so good, I think the kids ate half of it themselves.

Azlyn doing drill team dances!

This is one of her normal starting poses, Asher decided he wanted to join in on this one:)

"now move your arm like this Asher.."
