Hanging out with Nana

My mom has flex days at her work which means she can work an extra 1 1/2 hours some of the days so she can take one off. She isn't always able to do this but when she can we try to make good use of them. In August at the Dallas Arboretum it was only $1 to get in so we went early in the morning with the kids.

BTW, if you click on any of the picture collages you can see it much larger.

Started at the sunken gardens and Coy pond. You get a pretty good look at Asher's HORRIBLE hair cute(he got butchered and it will prob take about 2 months to get back to it's cute curly self:)
They have an area with prairie style homes the kids can play in. Surrounding it are so many beautiful texas native plants with Bees and butteries everywhere! Look how big Adelaide is getting!

At the bottom right in this collage you can see the kids running through a sprinkler to cool off. It was HOT and HUMID out there.
This is one of the Storybook houses, it's Peter rabbits house. Asher looked all over the gardens for him. You can also see him searching the Bamboo for the panda he thought should be in there. Then we had to stop at the Cafe for a tea break. Cold air and ice cold sweet raspberry and peach tea, mmmm!!
And with that, let's call it a day!
